English Leather Adjustable/Guide Dog Lead

A handy lead that adjusts in length from 30" to 45" (76cm - 114.5cm), via the clip which attaches to D rings. Originally designed for guide dog use it has become a popular lead with customers who like to keep their canine on a lead but allow a little bit of extra freedom once in a while. Available in 2 widths and various colours. The lengths stated are approximate and on occassion may be slightly shorter due a variation in the length of hide available.

Crafted from 3 - 4.5mm English bridle leather and fitted with British cast, brass or nickel plate clips and D rings. The lead is fitted with swivel trigger clips at both ends.

As standard our leads are completely made by hand from the initial cutting out to the final polish. All items we produce are also hand stitched, with leads the thread we choose to use is braided polyester as we have found this tends to last much longer than linen threads which will rot due to salt water (we are based near the coast) and the amount of wear a lead can receive.

Please do note that the red leather will turn brown eventually and all the colours do darken with age. This is due to dirt and grease getting into the leather. How long this process takes completely depends on how much wear and tear the lead receives. While we take every precaution to ensure colour fastness we cannot guarantee some colour transfer may occur.
