Dog Handle

Not all owners need a long lead and find the extra leather gets in the way. The dog handle is also great when you need that little bit of extra control such as walking in town near busy roads!

Our dog handle measures approximately 12" (30cm) including the clip and comes in a variety of colours and three widths.

Handcrafted from one of the finest English leathers and fitted with a solid brass or nickel plated, UK forged, trigger clip. With a choice of thread colour you can either stay 'traditional' or add a splash of colour! Sorry but we have yet to find a thread colour to match the Light Havana leather. We would 'traditionally' stitch this colour using an off white thread as per the product picture.

As standard our leads really are completely made by hand from the initial cutting out to the final polish. All items we produce are also hand stitched using traditional saddlers’ methods.

Please do note that the red leather will turn brown eventually and all the colours do darken with age. This is due to dirt and grease getting into the leather. How long this process takes completely depends on how much wear and tear the lead receives. While we take every precaution to ensure colour fastness we cannot guarantee some colour transfer may occur.
